NOTD: March 5, 2016

I finally caved and bought from the OPI Gwen Stefani collection! This pretty pink is Hey Baby! I used NYC Matte Me Crazy as the base, 2 coats of Hey Baby, and topped it off with Sparitual Multi-Tasker Base and Topcoat

While this wasn't a unique colour, it was good quality! Everyone needs a basic pink mani every now and then!

This bright pink mani is Sephora by OPI Access 24/7 (from this haul) with Wet N' Wild Party of Five Glitters (from this haul).

I used NYC Matte Me Crazy as the base, 2 coats of Access 24/7 (as the nail line is still visible, I easily could've done 3), 1 coat of Party of Five Glitters and topped it all off with Orly Top2Bottom.

A fun mani and I think the colours went well together!

NOTD: January 10, 2016

This fun NOTD is OPI Strawberry Margarita and Essie Suite Retreat (from this haul). I used butter London Nail Foundation as the base, as Suite Retreat had me worried about staining with it's vibrant blue hue (it didn't!), 2 coats of each Suite Retreat and Strawberry Margarita, and topped it off with Orly Top2Bottom.

Perfect brighten your day mani!

My Fav NOTD from 2015

Keeping up with the theme of reflecting on 2015, I wanted to pick out my top 10 fav NOTDs from 2015! Again in order from oldest to newest!

Sephora Formula X A+ with nails inc. Old Bond Street (original post). Spunky and fun!

Glam Polish Isengard (original post). Love the name, love the colour, and the holo is breathtaking!

Deborah Lippmann It's Raining Men with Deborah Lippmann Boom Boom Pow (original post). Super classy and can't believe it's a one coater!

Anna Sui Minnie Mouse 300 Nail Colour N (original post). Cute and sweet!

Wet N' Wild Cosmopolitan with butter London Jack the Lad (original post). Surprising that this throwback drugstore polish goes so well with a high end one!

Arcane Lacquer Erudite Charm (original post). Love the name and the combination here!

Sephora by OPI All That Jasmine with Sephora by OPI Havana Dreams with Sephora by OPI Your Wish Is My Command (original post). A super summery skittlette NOTD, plus Your Wish Is My Command has to be one of my favourite colours!

Deborah Lippmann Through The Fire (original post). Classic and elegant. Love.

Color Club Lady Holiday with nails inc. George Street (original post). Color Club Lady Holiday makes the Fav list again! I just love this grey polish, so versatile and understated!

Seche Nostalgic with Julep Judi (original post). Another one-coater makes the list! Vampy purples (or really purples of any kind) are usually my fav once the weather gets cold!

More indies, more single colour NOTDs, more variety in brands! I think 2015 NOTDs were pretty diverse if I do say so myself!

What was your favourite NOTD for 2015?

NOTD: October 5, 2015

Another attempt at nail art! And I'm pretty happy with the result!

This NOTD is 2 coats of Sephora by OPI Fit For Royalty (from this haul) with Quo by Orly Instant Artist Foil Gold used to for the art. I used NYC Matte Me Crazy as the base and Orly Top2Bottom as the top coat.

I'm really happy with this result and will definitely try to use my Instant Artist polish is more upcoming nail art NOTDs!

NOTD: August 31, 2015

This holo spacey mani is Sephora X in Juju (from this haul) with Wet N' Wild Party of Five Glitters (from this haul).

I used NYC Matte Me Crazy as the base, 2 coats of Juju, and 1 coat of Party of Five Glitters on the accent, followed by Orly Top2Bottom as the top coat.

I couldn't quite capture the holographic effect of Juju, it was really strong in natural light, although not as stronger as the indie holos we see.

My very first skittlette mani!  This perfectly summery mani is three Sephora by OPI polish All That Jasmine, Havana Dreams, and Your Wish Is My Command. All That Jasmine and Your Wish Is My Command are both from this haul. Havana Dreams is from this haul.

I used NYC Matte Me Crazy as the base, 1 coat of All That Jasmine, 2 coats of Havana Dreams and Your Wish Is My Command. I used Orly Top2Bottom as the topper.

Really cute right?

This mirror-like mani is OPI This Color's Making Waves. It was picked up during a recent Winners trip and I'm not disappointed!

I used butter London Nail Foundation as the base, followed with 2 coats of This Color's Making Waves, and a topper of Orly Top2Bottom.

It's hard to capture this polish as it's almost a duochrome of blue and green, but with purple shimmer in it as well! Really pretty!

NOTD: January 12, 2015

Today's mani is a long untried polish that really surprised me!

This is Sephora by OPI Never Enough Shoes (from this haul) with Julep Gianna (from this haul) on the accent. I used Orly Top2Bottom as the base and top coat, with 2 coats of Never Enough Shoes and one coat of Gianna.

This photo doesn't do Never Enough Shoes justice, so here's another attempt

This captures more of the sparkles in Never Enough Shoes's black base, here it reads mostly red but in person its bronze and a bit of green that I detect most.

I'm really liking Never Enough Shoes, despite my bias against dark nail colours. Gianna is just meh to me, nothing too special.

Which polish have surprised you recently?

My Fav NOTD from 2014

With the beginning of a new year, I thought I'd take a step back and look at my 10 favourite NOTD looks from 2014!
These are in order by age (oldest to newest)

Color Club Lady Holiday with Color Club Savoy Nights (original post). I love how well these colours paired together!

Julep Amy with Julep Marion (original post). I'm a sucker for blue / teal polish and these are 2 of my favourite in my collection.

Color Club Apollo Star with Essie Lilacism (original post). These 2 were paired together at the last minute, and I love how it turned out!

Sephora by OPI Skinny Jeans with nails inc. Soho Street (original post). I was really impressed with the formula of Skinny Jeans, and Soho Street is one of those versatile glitters.

Julep Millie with Dr.'s REMEDY Deserving Diamond (original post). To me this mani screamed class. I felt positively posh!

Sephora by OPI Your Wish is My Command with nails inc. Marylebone (original post). Your Wish is My Command is such a delicate pretty pink and Marylebone is a super attention grabbing glitter, but they worked well together!

Julep Kayla (original post). Probably one of the most interesting polish I bought in 2014, and I love purple!

nails inc. Devonshire Row with Quo by Orly My Heart is Nuclear (original post). These are both gorgeous colours that flatter my skin tone well.

nails inc. Bond Street with Julep Queen Anne (original post). A freehand attempt at nail art that turned out well!

Quo by Orly Mystic Night with Julep Margot (original post). Red and gold are meant to go together and I was impressed with the formula of both of these polish.

I think it's interesting that I don't like my more standard single colour manis as much, only choosing one single colour mani. But it is interesting the colour and finish variety in this top 10, although they are mostly lighter colours.

What was your favourite mani from 2014?

December 02, 2014

NOTD: December 2, 2014

I've had less free time recently due to an increased workload at my job, hence the lack of NOTD posts. I think I'm starting to balance the increase so hopefully the NOTDs come more regularly!

This is two coats of OPI Grand Canyon Sunset, a perfect orangey pink with a gleam of shimmer in it! I used my Orly Top2Bottom as the base and top coat.

This polish is definitely a fall or summer shade, and although I've never been to the Grand Canyon, this polish lives up to its name of an unreal sunset!

I love this mani! Two polish that didn't disappoint! This is two coats of Sephora by OPI Skinny Jeans (from this haul), one coat of Nails Inc. Soho Street on my index and pinky fingers.
In order to avoid the staining that is often associated with blue/green/teal nails I used my butter London Nail Foundation.

These were both easy to work with and great formulas! I definitely recommend them!

A fun mani for today! This is two coats of Sephora by OPI All That Jasmine (from this haul) over my butter London Nail Foundation. I then applied one coat of Wet N' Wild Fast Dry in Party of Five Glitters (from this haul) and finished with my Revlon Multi-Care Base+Top Coat.

I really liked this one! These minty green tealish colours look pretty good on me, and the glitter added some extra sparkle and colour!

A bright pinky red mani!  This is two coats of OPI The One That Got Away (from this haul) over my Revlon Multi-Care Base+Top Coat with NYC Matte Me Crazy on the accent nail.

I really like how this mani looks shiny, the matte coat isn't that exciting for me here, but I will definitely need to try it out with more polish!

Which of my polish would you like to see mattified?
