NOTD: June 28, 2014

One of my favourite Julep polishes! This is two coats of Julep Rebel with Revlon Multi-Care Base+Top coat for added shine!

I love Rebel, it's such a strong holo, and a shade that can be worn in any season! Rebel could easily be a one-coater if I was more careful!

Mini Shoppers Haul!

The other day at Shoppers I was perusing the clearance section and I found this baby on sale!

Quo by Orly Sugar set! I'm sad that none of these babies have names, so I'm going to name them myself! Feel free to leave comments with suggestions for names! I'm thinking of a dessert-theme to go with the Sugar set!

NOTD: June 9, 2014

I love this mani! Simple and sweet with extra drama!

This is two coats of Sephora by OPI Your Wish is My Command (from this haul) with Nails Inc. Marylebone (from this haul) on the accent. I then topped this mani with Revlon Multi-Care Base+Top Coat for extra shine and to even out the texture of Marylebone.

May Empties

Better late than never!

Here's what I used up in May:

Neutrogena All-in-One Make-up Removing Cleansing Wipes: From this haul. Same as my review in April Empties.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara: From this haul. I really liked this mascara, it wasn't clumpy, felt soft on my eyelashes and delivered volume and length! It also didn't smudge or cause raccoon eyes! As I have a larger sample size, I'm going to get through that before I determine if I will be repurchasing.

 

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue: From this haul. Sephora describes the fragrance as the following: "Sicilian citron, bluebell, granny smith apple, jasmine sambac, bamboo, white rose, cedarwood, amber, musk". I'd describe it as a citrusy, light, fresh scent, perfect for summer! Reading the description above I wouldn't have guessed I'd like this fragrance as much as I did. Very fresh and refreshing, I wear this on mornings when I'm looking for lightness in my day! Since I have loads of perfume samples + full-size bottles to get through, I'm not sure if I'll purchase this one, but I will definitely keep it in mind!

 

Sensodyne Whitening plus Tartar Fighting Toothpaste: It does the job, but it isn't my favourite toothpaste, the flavour of the Pro-namel is much nicer in my opinion. I will not be repurchasing.

 

 

Caramel & brown sugar Body & Shower Gel: The last of the no-name body washes! This scent was perfect for fall, very sweet smelling! As I've said before these shower gels are nothing special and I won't be repurchasing.



Ducray Squanorm Shampoo: See review here. This is the best anti-dandruff shampoo I've tried! Have already repurchased.

Bath & Body Works Sugar Plum Dream Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel: I love BBW's hand sanitizers, and this scent was awesome! I really like this and will consider repurchasing at Christmastime!

Aveeno Positively Nourishing Moisturize Shampoo: From this haul. I really love how soft my hair is after using this shampoo! My hair feels silky, soft, and light! I really enjoying using this shampoo when I'm alternating between Squanorm and Elution. I have a back-up, but will definitely considering repurchasing!

Influenster imPress Manicure Canada Voxbox

My Influenster Voxbox!

Note: I received these products complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.

This Voxbox had 2 sets of imPress Press-On Manicures, here's a closer look at the sets I received:

The first one is D060 Over the Moon, a neon pink and purple leopard print pattern - again not exactly my taste but I'm sure I'll find the perfect opportunity to where these!

The second one (and much more exciting) is KL0615 Evil Queen, part of the Disney Villains collection (yay! I love Disney and was definitely excited to get this pattern!). This is an ombre pink/purple/white mani with a floral lace overlay, which I am much more likely to get some use of!

I was lucky in that I got 2 patterned manis, as I believe a large majority of people received a solid colour - which I would be unlikely to use unless in a real pinch in terms of mani time.

These were easy to use, and I did find that the nails fit well on my fingernails, but I'm not sure if I'd buy them myself given my love of painting nails.
