NOTD: July 28, 2015

This mani is super fun and bright! Perfect for a hot day like today!

This is 2 coats of Color Club Peace Love & Polish with 1 coat of Sephora Formula X Bionic (from this haul) on the accent.
I used NYC Matte Me Crazy as the base and Orly Top2Bottom as the topper

NOTD: July 22, 2015

This super summery shade is Julep Brandis (from this Maven box). I used Butter London Nail Foundation as the base, as I was scared of the staining - which it still did a bit. I then applied 2 coats of Brandis and finished with Orly Top2Bottom.

I love this shade! February's Maven box was the last one I took, and it's funny that such a summery shade came from a box tailored for Valentine's Day!

Which Maven box did you last take? For more info on Julep, see this post.

NOTD: July 20, 2015

For this NOTD I used two coats of Deborah Lippmann Strange Love with 1 coat of Orly Matte FX Green (both from this haul) on the accent. I used Butter London Nail Foundation as the base and Orly Top2Bottom as the top coat for all except the accent (to keep the matteness).

As you can see I could have used another coat of Strange Love, as my nail line is still visible. I wasn't sure if this would be a jelly finish or just a more sheer polish, and I don't think it was quite jelly by my standards.

Definitely a nice pink on me though!

July Sephora Haul!

Sephora recently had some nice promo codes plus exciting deals in the sale section, so I hauled the following:

L to R: Urban Decay After Dark Travel Pencil Set, Tarte Amazon Double-ended Lipstick and Lip Creme in Neutral Peach and Rosy Mauve, Sephora Smoothing Body Scrub in Coconut, Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick Duo in Fig/Date, and Tarte Magical Moments Deluxe Best Sellers Essential Set

I was so excited to have a second chance at picking up the Tarte Black Friday set that I set my shopping cart up immediately! I've tried Sephora's body scrubs in the past (I had the Mango scent previously), that I had to snatch this up while it was on-sale! The Tarte double-ended lipsticks were on-sale as well with the 2 for $24, I couldn't pass up that deal (they sell for $29 each on Tarte's own website). I've been interested in trying Bite's lipstick formula, having read so many rave reviews, for $12 I figured now was the time to pick it up. And the Urban Decay set I probably didn't need (since I have like 100 eye liners already), but I wanted to hit the free shipping minimum, and I don't have Voodoo or Corrupt, and love the UD formula.

A closer look at the Tarte double-ended lipsticks and UD pencils:

Lipsticks L to R: Neutral Peach, Rosy Mauve
Pencils Top to Bottom: Zero, Voodoo, Corrupt

I've tested out the lipstick side of these and have been impressed. They're creamy and non-drying, with a nice vanilla scent to them! Given my eye liner overload, I've yet to try these out, but I'm sure I'll like them!

A closer look at Bite's double-ended lipstick:

L to R: Fig, Date

Loving the formula of this, super creamy and non-drying! And the colours aren't as dark as they seem here, which is good for a fair skinned girl like me!

A closer look at the Tarte set:

L to R: Amazonian Clay Blush in Magic, Lipsurgence Lip gloss in Magic, Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara

I like the formula of all three products here having tried them out in the past. The blush is a nice peachy-pink colour, and the lip gloss is light pink with shimmer to it!

I used the promo code JETSET and picked the following three deluxe sized samples:

L to R: Fresh Sugar Lip Polish, Dolce & Gabbana Passion Eyes Mascara, Buxom Full-On Lip Polish in Sophia

I haven't had a chance to try out the mascara or lip gloss, but I've used the Fresh Lip Polish in the past and this deluxe sample will last me a long time!

For my 3 free normal samples I picked:

L to R: Dolce & Gabbana Intenso (didn't choose this, extra sample thrown in), Laura Mercier Foundation Primer in Radiance, Philosophy Live Joyously, and Dior Diorshow Mascara

Super excited to have so many new goodies to play with!

Have you hauled anything recently? Share!

NOTD: July 14, 2015

This is 2 coats of Sephora Formula X Hyped (from this haul). I used NYC Matte Me Crazy as the base and Wet N' Wild Fast Dry as the topper (you can see the stringyness of the consistency - especially on my middle finger).

I liked how bright and fun this look is! And I think it's a great colour year-round and not just summertime!

It's a great purple/pink hybrid colour!

Which colour hybrids do you love?

NOTD: July 4, 2015

For this mani I started with Butter London Nail Foundation (since I was scared of staining with blue and green polish). I then used 2 coats of Wet N' Wild Cosmopolitan and Butter London Jack the Lad and topped them with NYC Matte Me Crazy.

I thought these two colours went together quite well, and mattifying them brought out the shimmer!

What are your plans for the long weekend?

June Empties!

And through June the toothpaste trend continues!

L to R: Crest Complete Whitening + Scope Cool Peppermint, Butter London Powder Room Acetone-Free Lacquer Remover

Crest Complete Whitening + Scope Cool Peppermint: I really liked this toothpaste, the lighter gel texture that I usually prefer plus it's effective at freshening breath!

Butter London Powder Room Acetone-Free Lacquer Remover: As you can see, there is still a bit left in the bottle, however this last couple of mms is completely ineffective on even the most basic cream polishes. It wasn't always like that and did a decent job at non-glitter polish removal. However, at the price point I expect to be able to remove all types of polish! Therefore I will not be repurchasing.

L to R: Clean & Clear Makeup Dissolving Facial Cleansing Wipes, Wet N' Wild Fast Dry Top Coat

Clean & Clear Makeup Dissolving Facial Cleansing Wipes: I didn't find this stung my eyes as much as remembered in this review. However I do still prefer Neutrogena wipes.

Wet N' Wild Fast Dry Top Coat: This still has 1/3 of the top coat left, however it is a gloopy, thick, stringy mess now. Basically unusable unless I want to wreck my nails. Before it turned into this mess it was a great top coat, really fast drying and shiny! I would likely repurchase the full-size when I finish up my backlog of top coats currently on hand!

What products did you use up in June?
